So it looks like the fallout from my accident could be a bit more than I was expecting. I talked with my insurance company today, and it looks like the guy in the front car (not the car I impacted) is getting a lawyer, and my insurance guy says it's possible they will come after us, too. So, he's coming by work tomorrow to take pictures of my car. He said he wouldn't call me again unless he needed more info from me, so I could call back in a few months (it will probably still be an open case by then) to find out what's going on.
As far as damage to the vehicles, the front guy has only $200 in damage to the rear of his car, and the middle guy in the van has $400 worth of damage to the rear (it really surprises me that it was even that much), but, right now they (the vehicle is owned by a company, looks like a small contracting business) aren't going to file a claim for it, since they have the legal stuff to deal with, with the guy in the front car getting a lawyer and all. My insurance guy told me that, if they have to payout more than $500, then I would get a surcharge. So, if they have to pay out nothing, or if it stays at the $400, then I'm fine.
No matter what happens, I'll be happy as long as it doesn't involve me doing more paperwork.
