For a movie with such an unbelievable premise [1], Equilibrium was a lot of fun and surprisingly intelligent (if not deep). If you like futuristic shoot-em-up movies, then I recommend this one.

[1] WW III has happened at the beginning of the 21st century, and humanity decides that it can't have any more war. Obviously, the way to get rid of war is to get rid of human feelings, so everyone takes an injection several times per day of a drug that makes them have no feelings. In order to make sure people aren't tempted to have feelings, anything that might evoke a feeling is banned, which includes things like works of art, any kind of images, and a whole laundry list of items. I won't attempt to talk about all of the problems with this premise, mostly because I don't want to take the time.
