Well, I won't be driving that car to Seattle. I had an email waiting for me at work from the person I'd talked to about it. She apparently found someone who had a better reason for driving out there, so she wanted to give it to that person, which I completely understand, and I'm actually not unhappy about this. It means I won't have to worry about the hassle of figuring out how to get back.
Printed out my resignation letter last night, and I'm going to give it to the Big Boss when he gets here this morning (he usually gets in around 8). I took a sick day on Friday (to help a friend move), which was my last sick day for the year. I found a note on my keyboard this morning from the department admin saying that I had used all of my 5 sick days. Fine. It also said that I "went home sick another day." What the hell is that supposed to mean? That she thinks I took an extra day? If I didn't mark it as a sick day on my timesheet, then I made up the time. More things to make me glad I'm leaving here. And I'm going to be realy surly if they don't let me take the rest of my vacation and personal days at the end of the month. If they let me, then I will only be here 7 more work days.
Went and saw Minority Report on a whim yesterday. We were out shopping for other things, and there happened to be a movie theater there, so I suggested a movie. I rarely go out to movies, and it is usually not my suggestion. It was a lot of fun. And I even figured out plot stuff way early in the movie, which I never used to do, but which I seem to be doing more of. I feel slightly smarter.
