LJ Comments
When I first started on LJ, I decided that I was going to save all of the comment-notification emails. As a backup, I guess. But, really, I don't think I need them. They're not really that important, and, at this point, I trust LJ to back it up. I think I'm going to delete them, thus reducing a small amount of the clutter in my life (and my inbox, in particular).

Do you keep your comment-notification emails? Will my post inspire you to delete your collection?

I use one of the LJ backup tools and am sure to back up both my posts and all the comments.

The only reason I can see to save the comment notification emails is if I think someone will later delete the comment, and the content of the comment is important for me to keep.

I save some of them, if the information is particularly useful, because it's easier to search through my email than through LJ.

What she said, only replace 'information' with 'contents' and 'useful' with 'ego-boosting.' And 'is' with 'are,' while you're at it.

I keep. I am uninspired.

I save them out to their own mailbox once I read them. I save mine, too. Easier to search that way.

I've kept all of mine so far, in a folder of their own. I'm not short of disk space on our mail server, so ... ;)

I keep mine. I find it easier to search back in my e-mail folders than to search back in LJ, especially if I can recall who left the comment but not in whose journal.
