My work day started off well. I got a number of smallish tasks completed, and I also figured out a tricky production problem. But now I'm kind of unmotivated. Partly I'm just tired, as I didn't get much sleep last night. Got to sleep after 11 and woke up for good some time around 6, although I woke up for the first time a little before 5 when it was starting to get light. I should maybe go for a walk. It's too warm for my tastes, but I can mostly stay in the shade, and it might wake me up a little. Really, though, what I want is to just go home. I would say that maybe I'll go home early, but that never ends up happening. I end up getting involved in a project as it gets closer to time to leave, and then I want to finish it before heading home.

German class was good last night. We learned the alphabet and the numbers (up through the thousands). We learned some verbs (heißen, gehen, sein, wohnen) and listed to some dialogs. After class, I went to the Coop and bought the books for the class. I should probably make a point of reviewing stuff every day. Walking around this morning, I read license plates out loud in German, since they are (at least locally) a nice mix of letters and numbers. I'm looking forward to the rest of the class and to being able to start having some real, if limited, conversations in German.

I really want to take a "german for gamers" class.

I definitely have picked up some German from games. Notably Ohne Furcht und Adel (kirche, dieb, um, I'm sure the rest would come back to me, but I haven't played in quite a while).

I don't own any German versions of games. I should use studying German as an excuse to get a German game.

Hmm, I don't recall. It's been a while since I've needed the rules. I'll have to check. Thanks for the suggestion :-)

You're welcome :-)

I also wondered about Citadels having German rules.

Citadels is the English version of Ohne Furcht und Adel, so it has English rules.
