I ran the same route I did on Saturday morning, down Weston Rd. almost to Weston and back. This time I did it in 28:53, which is a 9:37 pace. I think I might have been able to push myself at that pace for another half mile, which would be about 33:40 for 3.5 miles, the length of the race on Sunday. I imagine that's about where my sister is going to be, unless her recent knee pain affects her running.
The $40 shorts did their work: no chafing on my inner thigh. If I keep running, I may reward myself with a similar running shirt. Of course, the sweat on my upper body doesn't cause me problems like the sweat on my lower body does.
