This has been a really great conference. I've got something like a dozen projects to follow up on so far, and I've still got one more day (well, half day) of the exhibit. It's just so energizing to talk with people who have interesting projects and who then become excited about publishing their projects with me. It's even more cool to know that some of these projects wouldn't have happened if it weren't for me talking to people about them.
We've also done pretty well in sales, and I think a large part of that is the book we spent so much time on in December and January. Yes, chanaleh, it was worth it.
I'd been thinking that my flight was at 9:30 tonight, but it turns out that my flight from Los Angeles is at 9:30. My flight from San Jose to Los Angeles is at 6:00, so I pretty much just have time to help a bit with packing up the booth before I need to head to the airport. I hope I can get some sleep on the flight, as I arrive in Boston at 6:00 tomorrow morning.
It turns out that my sister is flying to Chicago at 6:30 on Saturday morning, so she's going to leave her car in short-term parking for me. This means I'll have a car this weekend, which is kind of cool. I'll probably be only semi-functional on Saturday, and I'll likely do some work on Sunday (compiling my notes for the trip), but there's certainly the possibility of getting together with people on Sunday, if anyone wants to hang out. Let me know.
