Mystery recipe
Poking around the house, I found the following recipe on a yellow sticky note. I can't read the last bit, so I'm not really sure what this is supposed to be.
4 T butter
3 T catsup
2 T water
2 T vinegar
2 T sugar
1 t Worcestershire sauce
3 dashes Tobasco
onion juice

Boil all ingredients slowly until well mixed. Serve hot [or cold | on col(something)] [something else]

Any guesses?

It looks like the sauce for Salisbury Steak. I made some recently, and was appalled by how disgusting the "gravy" ingredients were. Since there is no thickening agent in the recipe, I'd think it would be pretty runny... like S.S. sauce. I can't figure out how that would fit with the part that's hard to read, though. Serve hot or cold on cold meat patties?
