Food: made bread this morning, under the supervision of the master bread baker in my life. Spelt flour and oats and golden raisins, plus lots of honey for sweetener. Made these into rolls, and, while they turned out a little dense (probably due to using spelt flour instead of wheat flour), they are really tasty, especially when they first came out of the oven. Yum. I'll have top try to find some spelt flour recipes, for bread that will turn out a bit softer.
Food: I have some chicken marinating in the refrigerator. Lemon juice, lime juice, lemon zest, lime zest, salt, pepper, cayenne, honey, and garlic. I'll be baking that soonish. Yum.
Nap: Showed Bedknobs and Broomsticks to magid, who had never seen the movie but had read the book, which is apparently almost completely unlike the movie. I slept most of the way through it, having a couple of weird dreams. In one, it was like I was watching a version of the movie that had two other versions of it playing interspersed with the regular version. So, the live-action stuff would go for a while, and then you would see a scene that you had seen a while back, but it was animated, and the three kids were weasels or something. It was kind of interesting. I wonder what that would be like, sort of tell the same story, but repeat scenes in completely different styles. The other dream I had while dozing during the movie was where some FBI agent was attacked by some people, and his arm was chopped off, and then he was tied up, with his arm back in place being held by the ropes, and stuffed in the closet. Later, he was rescued by some polic officers. They used an axe to cut the ropes, andhis arm fell off. He had to be rushed to the hospital.
Nap: When the movie was over, I felt like I needed a real nap, so I went to my bed (the movie nap was curled up on the futon) and had a nice nap, about an hour.
Also played some Lost Cities and Boggle. And did two loads of laundry. which reminds me, I should probably iron my pants for work tomorrow. hrafn has been packing most of the day, so I think we're going to be in okay shape for the move. I will probably try to motivate myself to clean up my little messy area by the dining room table and also to put my two loads of laundry away. It'll be a lot easier to pack up my room if it's clean, so maybe I'll have as a goal to have my room completely clean by the end of the week, and then try to keep it clean until we move.
