The sculpture park at DeCordova is no longer free when the museum is open (Tuesday through Sunday, 11-5). It used to be free all the time. It sucks that they have to do this to increase revenue. I wonder how much it's actually increased revenue.

Talking with geeyodi yesterday, it was discovered that she had never been to DeCordova. We were going to try to plan a group outing there on Sunday, August 29. However, now that we'd have to pay ($6 per person), I'm not sure I want to do this. Unless we do it after 5, which kind of makes a picnic lunch a bit inconvenient. Still, I guess there will still be enough light then to spend some decent time there. Blergh.

ACK! :( And: so _that's_ what the funky looks-like-a-ticketbooth structure was all about . . . (seen the last time I was out there a month or two ago; it wasn't completely finished at the time).

What a shame. I bet a lot of people who used to go there regularly no longer will.

I'd be willing to pay $6 for the outing.

I also think doing a picnic "early supper" after 5 would be fine.
