The mayor says thanks
Free and discounted stuff this weekend, including parking, museums, movies, and restaurants, all supposedly as thanks to the residents of Boston for putting up with the DNC:

Update: Wow. A lot more has been added since I first saw this. And the Loews Boston Common thing changed to just the first showing (it had previously said all shows).

Did you notice A Clockwork Orange is on the 50% off list?

And I wonder how some of those businesses, restaurants esp., feel about that, given that (according to news I've read) they've lost quite a bit of business this week due to nobody coming by. Yes, obviously they were okay with it to be doing it, but I bet they offered before they realized how the DNC would affect business.

I noticed, but I'm going at a later date.

I dunno. Seeing that more stuff was added later, I'm thinking this might have been a more last-minute thing.
