Apparently, large amounts of sugar make adults depressed. That, combined with other factors, might explain my mood on Monday. I ate something like 2 dozen of the sugar cookies that I made.

I probably shouldn't do that again.

Apparently, large amounts of sugar make adults depressed.

Is this something that's been proven/tested? Or just something that lots of people have noticed happens to them?

I always get weird when I have a lot of sugar too. But I thought it was just me, as it doesn't seem to happen to many of the people I know (but it may also be that when I eat "a lot" of sugar, it's more than they eat).

When you introduce excess quantities of sugar into your bloodstream, your body compensates by producing extra insulin. When the sugar is metabolized, you have all this insulin in your blood and nothing to burn, hence the classic sugar low.
