I think if I had more itme at home, I wouldn't always feel like leaving work early. It's a tenuous connection, but I think it's there. Basically, I would get more stuff done at home, so that I would feel that I could spend my time at work doing work stuff and not have to worry about other stuff until I got home.

And having this dumb project isn't helping.

itme

Do you feel differently about work when you've accomplished a lot at home? (As opposed to, say, watching dvds?)

Have you thought about maybe doing 15 minutes of home clean-up a day, every day, instead of doing it in these big spurts (excuse the mental image)? Like, even set an alarm for 15 minutes, then clean the toilet or do dishes or get rid of the clutter on the futon or whatever. Only 15 minutes....

Granted you're not home that much. You could make it 10, even; I'm sure you could manage 10 minutes of cleaning before bed even if you got home late. Just a thought.

I suppose it might be something to try. However, I think that it would really only work with large chunks of time. I feel _really_ good if I can spend an hour or two and get the whole house picked up, some dishes done, some laundry done, some food cooked.

But, yeah, I really need to figure something out, because the current situation doesn't seem to be very sustainable.
