Fun little Flash toy-game thingy.
Apparently the top score is 20,000. I got 9600 on my first attempt. (And I'm going to try to stay away from it for now so I can get some work done (not that I have much work to do (which reminds me I should head over to Ritz)).)

Got it in 5. My second attempt hit max on all but one, and it took three more refinements from there to max everything.
Wow, this must be one of your "this is just how my brain works" things! I've managed 13400. There's clearly more going on here than "choose longest-growing things first" -- I can't get the bubble tube to grow no matter when I pick it.
Could you post your maximal recipe rot13'ed? (eg www.rot13.org

There is quite a bit more going on, yes. Some of the interactions were four or five steps deep, the way I saw it.
I did not note my solution, so I will have to reconstruct it before I can post.

Ok, this is the solution I just came up with, which is not the same as my first solution--I thought I had screwed up when the sun came out before I wanted/expected it to.

Aha! I got it too, just by writing out my recipe and then shifting things in the direction they seemed to need to go. Figuring out what was wrong with the pipe did the trick.

Man, I seem to instinctively suck at this.
