So my co-worker, one of the newer people, pokes his head over our shared cubicle wall:

"Hey, Kevin. You've worked on a geometry chapter, right?"

(putting down the phone I was about to use to call cthulhia) "I'm in the middle of one right now."

"The tech art is pretty . . ." (little laugh)

(blank stare)

"There's so much more of it, and it's more complicated than the other chapters."

That was all. He didn't want to ask me a question (which he frequently does, and which I don't really mind, although it's starting to get annoying that he's asking me questions about comments that someone else made that he should be asking them but they're not in their office right at the moment, and I invariably tell him, "You should go ask them."); he just wanted to jabber at me about how hard he's working because he's working on a geometry chapter. Shut the fuck up.

there is more of it, but if he thinks that it's so much more complicated, what happens when he has to spec a double bar graph? or graphs on the coordinate plane?

hope the rest of your day goes better...
