Queue (queue) wrote,

My roommate came home last night, so I didn't write this morning when I got up. Something about not having the house to myself makes it so I don't want to write. So I read some stories, then watched some South Park in my room, then ended up taking a nap. Four hours later, I'm up. Roommate is gone, but now I'm just kind of zonked. I really could use another couple of weeks off with the roommate gone. Oh well.

I've tried not to think about work on my vacation, but I don't think I have anything to do when I get back until someone gives me something. So I could go in early on Monday and do some writing at work, see how that is.

I wonder if it would help my motivation to not read any other short stories while I'm writing mine. Of course, I think it was reading one of them that actually got me to start writing this one, so it can't be all bad. I just need to write this story, and then later I can worry about what gets my writing routine going or not.

Yes, I think that's probably the key, much as I hate the idea: routine.
