I started Lovelock this morning, by Orson Scott Card and Kathyrn H. Kidd. I've had it for quite a while but never read it. I opened it up and noticed that it was "Book 1 of the Mayflower Trilogy." I don't have the other books, so I was loath to read this one, but I decided to read it anyway, since I like Card and the premise sounded interesting (an intelligent monkey who goes ape on a space voyage). The book was written in 1994, so I figured the rest of the trilogy would be around and I could pick it up somewhere. So i go to check out what the titles of the rest of the books are, and I find that the second book of the trilogy is currently in progress (called Rasputin). Blargh. Oh well. It'll be one more book read that I own.
