Girl Meets Girl

A friend of mine is directing a play that opens tonight and runs for a few weeks. It sounds like a neat play. I thought I'd pass this along, since it sounds like something people I know might be interested in:

The stage at the Boston Center for the Arts just got hotter with the
Boston premiere of GIRL MEETS GIRL, the sizzling new comedy about falling
in and out of love. GIRL MEETS GIRL is for anyone and everyone who has
searched for the ideal mate and stumbled along the way. Set in San
Francisco, GIRL MEETS GIRL follows the lives of six women searching for
love and sex in the new millennium. GIRL MEETS GIRL comes to Boston for
this special engagement following its smash hit run in Los Angeles, San
Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, and Seattle where it played
to sold out houses and critical acclaim.

"Poignant & Bawdy - like Friends without the guys." -- Seattle

"Best Bet! A delightful and quirky celebration of womanhood which
tingles with sexual tension and waves of hilarity." -- Nitelife Magazine

"Wise and witty, a fun and heartwarming jolly romp. A four-star crowd
pleaser and one of the most thoroughly satisfying lesbian comedies." --
Frontiers Magazine (LA)

"Effervescent joie de vivre and raw honesty." -- Chicago Tribune

"The erotica throughout is nicely conducted with real intimacy between
the players." -- Rocky Mountain News

"Hip, sexy, and engaging - it makes a fabulous date play." -- SF Bay

"The seats were full of dykes on date night, laughing their heads off and
enjoying the saucy sex scenes. The energy in the room was positively
giddy." -- The Stranger (Seattle)

"Goofy and gutsy, and expert in its subject matter." -- Metro-Times

The story focuses on Anita, a magazine editor who’s turning thirty-five
and fed up with her job. Her friends throw her a surprise birthday
party, and that evening Anita meets a woman who sweeps her off her feet.
The play explores the journey of this wild relationship and the affect it
has on the circle of friends.

For this exclusive engagement, GIRL MEETS GIRL stars a cast of six Boston
theater veterans: Rhonda Celester, Melissa Li, Trish Palmiere, Claire
Shinkman, Mary Thomas, Deirdre Wade and Stepahie Ziobrio. The director
is Anne Continellli, one of Boston's newest playwrights/directors and
also a professional puppeteer.

GIRL MEETS GIRL performs at Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont
Street, Boston for three weeks only from August 8th through August 24th.
Official press opening is Friday, August 15th at 7 PM. Performances are
Friday and Saturday at 7:00 PM, and Sunday at 4 PM. Tickets are $27 for
shows on Friday and Saturday, and $22 for shows on Sunday. For tickets,
