I saw an ad on craigslist this morning. A math teacher at Everett High School looking for housing within biking distance of the school (a 10 or 12 minute walk from my house). So, I sent an email. I didn't think I'd ever find an ad in the housing wanted section looking for housing in Everett.

So I pretty much immediately got an email back from the guy, saying he's interested to meet and see the place. The email address I sent it to was one of craigslist's anonymous ones. His full name is on the email that he sent me. So, of course, I googled him. The first link that comes up is from the Unity Games message board. Unity Games is a local gaming group, sort of parallel to Boston Gamers, but with more focus on board games than role-playing games. I know people in Unity Games. We probably know some of the same people. Cool. I don't want to get too excited, but this sounds like it might actually work. And one of the messages I saw was that he was hosting a gaming pancake breakfast at his place. Mmmm, pancakes.
That is definately bizarre! So, are you looking for a roommate then?

Re: Oh, cool
I've been sort of looking. It's been just me in the house since January(?). I can scrape by with just me, but having someone else paying some rent would certainly help things. What I've been doing is just scanning the housing wanted section, in case someone happened to be looking for the kind of living situation I had to offer and seemed like a compatible person. So, when I saw someone who was looking to live in my town who was also a math teacher, it was too good to pass up.
Yeah, it sounds like fate :)
