Last night

I did nothing useful, and it was a nice change. I took a bath while I had salmon in the oven, I ate dinner while watching TV, then I watched a little more TV and was asleep by 9:30. I woke up, thought it was probably 4 or so, since that has been my pattern, looked at the clock and saw that it was only 1. What a nice feeling, knowing that I could go back to sleep for many hours yet. I ended up waking up again a little before 5. Since that was more than 7 hours of sleep, I decided to get up rather than risk feeling worse for having gotten one more hour of sleep to be woken up at an unnatural time instead of a time my body decided was natural. So I was in to work at 5:55, my earliest time yet. This means I get to leave earlier, which is always nice. And I've already got at least an hour of my work day devoted to a quarterly update meeting, which means just sitting and listening to presentations for 45 minutes, followed (or preceded?) by refreshments. I've been here for 45 minutes now, and I'll most likely have the office to myself for at least another 1/2 hour. There are 2-3 other semi-regular early birds, but they don't usually make much noise, except my cubicle neighbor, who doesn't really make much noise, either, except that he always greets me when he gets in, which has become less annoying than it used to be, but I could still live without it.

Wake-up call given to cthulhia, now time to call magid to see if I can catch her before surgery and wish her well.
