I acquired the second season of Stargate tonight. I am planning on being good and not staying up to watch the first episode tonight. We'll see how well my resolve stands up to me passing by the TV on my way up to bed.
Dinner turned out well. The soup was really good, as usual when I use this recipe. Chicken lemongrass soup from the Frugal Gourmet's Our Immigrant Ancestors cookbook, although I add mushrooms to mine. I also made some Irish soda bread from the same cookbook. I picked up a small bag of flour at the store, and the only kind they had was regular white flour. So, for the first time, I made this soda bread with regular flour, and it certainly has a better texture than when I make it with spelt flour. However, I think I like the taste of the spelt version better. So, maybe next time I make it with spelt flour I'll mess with the proportions a bit and try to get a better texture.
I managed to do most of the dishes and clear off the table, but I didn't get the living room cleaned at all. That's okay, though, since I have no plans for the next two nights, which should give me plenty of time to do up the dishes from tonight and clean up the rest of the downstairs.
And, of course, watch a few episodes of Stargate.
