Gaming was pretty uneventful for my character. I took a phone call for a couple of minutes near the end, and that was it. I keep forgetting that hrafn has cable, so, before gaming, I watched Knight Rider. It's been a long time since I've seen Knight Rider. PRetty hokey, but chock-full of nostalgia. And, during gaming, dannarra turned on Stargate SG-1. I'd seen bits of it before, I think, but I actually watched the full last half of an episode last ngiht. I came to the conclusion that it's a pretty good show. Not that I'll get to watch it on TV, since I'm busy on Monday nights and I don't have cable anyway; however, dannarra did offer to lend the first season on DVD. I told her I'm interested, so I might end up watching a bunch of Stargate SG-1 some weekend. I think I want to start it off with the movie, since it's been a while since I've seen that.

I started reading a French book. I have three beginning French textbooks at the house, so I picked the one that looked the newest. It was the one that hrafn used for the French class she took last year. It turns out that it is also the one that is published in my building, so that's pretty cool. I'm finding it really well done, much better than I remember my French textbooks in high school being. It's a slow introduction, so most things aren't new, but I'm slowly moving back into French mode, so that's good. And I really like the essays on culture at the beginning of each lesson. So, this has become my new commuting book. I haven't finished The Gospel According to the Simpsons, but I've finished the interesting parts of it. The only two chapters I have left are one on the creators of the show and one that is a conclusion. Neither interests me much, so I may not end up finishing the book at all. Definitely a good read, though, and I really do recommend it for Simpsons fans.
