My first object
So, I think I have the basics of objects in Perl figured out, which is cool. I have a working object now. Next step is to make it slightly more interesting, but I think I'll save that for tomorrow. I spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out a problem, only to realize that I was calling an object method on the class, not on an object. Oops. Guess I'm enough out of it to call it quits for the night.

I watched some of the movie, but programming was more interesting. Hmm, work in the morning, cleaning during the day, and programming at night. That seems to work pretty well. We'll see how much work I can get done tomorrow morning, so that I have the rest of the day free for cleaning and programming.

If you haven't already, visit the perltoot, perltooc, and perlbot man pages, in that order. See perlboot first if you have no prior experience with OO. (And run man perl for the full list of wacky sub-manpages. I learned OO back when there was only perltoot, so I'm trusting that these pages are as good as they claim. :) )

Yeah, I've already looked at perlboot and perltoot. The stuff I'm doing is simple enough that I think I can get away with just those, but thanks for pointing me at the others. We'll see when I have time to look at them.
