Boggle Geeking
It's been a fairly eventful couple of days.

On the work front, I'm still helping Boss Lady with some stuff on the high school project. She says we want to get this stuff out before Thanksgiving, so I hope that means that I can finally go onto the middle school project after Thanksgiving. We'll see.

Went to see Schooner Fare on Friday with some friends. It was a lot of fun. I've never really been exposed to much folk music before, and I really liked it. Plus, the group just puts on a great show, with their down-home folksy way of talking in between the songs.

Before the concert, played some Boggle. surrealestate was pretty miffed that she didn't get any 8-letter words, especially given that I got three in the 5 or 6 games we played. In the last game, however, she got station, which I missed (we were playing 5-letter minimum, btw, which probably account for my goodly number of long words. Plus we were playing with the newly acquired Boggle Deluxe, which may have a different letter distribution than I'm used to). I mentioned to her that she could have gotten stationed, a 9-letter word. I think an exact quote from her after that was "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh". Or something like that.

When we went out to the car to go to the concert, I suggested taking my car, but she said we could just take her car, since it was right there. "Plus," she said, "it's roomy." "Roomier." Then me: "Roomiest. Roommates." Her boyfriend came out and said something like "What was the question?" It was explained to him that we were simply Boggle-geeking.

Went to the Brickbottom Open Studios on Saturday, and that was a lot of fun. One of the more memorable things there was the sunset over the city, which we caught from several different angles. Truly magnificent. One of the few good things about pollution. I'll bet the sunsets in Los Angeles are wonderful.

I was going to go see meteors this morning with dway, Kit, and Cue, but I wussed out, since I was so tired. They all went out and are now at dway's house playing Boggle, having eaten breakfast. They called me at about 6:20 to say that they were going to be back at dway's place in about 20 minutes for breakfast, but I was way too tired still then to join them. I called Kit a little while ago to see what was going on, and they were still over there, but playing Boggle now. I was a little miffed that they didn't call me when they decided to play Boggle to see if I wanted to play, and chances are good that, at that point, I would have gotten up to go over. If it turns out that they thought about it and decided to let me sleep instead of calling and waking me up, then that will be fine. If it turns out that they just didn't think of calling me, I'll be a little more upset. Oh well.

Not sure what I'll do today, but I'm fairly well rested now, although I may end up taking a nap at some point if there's nothing else to do. I'm kinda cold now, so a hot bath sounds good, followed by trying to finish "Dragonflight".

Ack. For some reason, the fleshy parts of my palms are sore. I've been wondering about that, and the only thing I can come up with is the massaging I was giving a friend Friday night. I guess this means I need more practice at massaging, since I don't intend to stop giving massages.
