Pie and teeth
So, the pie tastes good. I let it cool for a bit, and then I had a piece while I watched The Simpsons. I've decided that much of the taste of a lemon meringue pie comes from the tuff that isn't the lemon. You can tell there's a difference if you're paying attention, but it's not that big of a difference. So, yes, the pie is a success. We'll see tonight how the French silk pie turns out.

Brushing my teeth last night, I was overcome with a need to floss. For me, that's an extremely rare event, quite a big deal. So, I looked in the cabinet, and what to me wondering eyes did appear, but some floss left behind by hrafn. So, I was flossing away. I felt like I needed to floss more. I started picking at the back of my teeth with my fingernail. After several attempts, I got some food particles. Not anything that looked like stuff I'd eaten recently. I went back aand foud some more. So I got the flashlight. It looks like I have at least three cavities. I'm not sure, since I've never had a cavity before. And I also noticed that my two back teeth on the upper left side of my mouth kind of slant outwards at a significant angle. So, I guess I'm going to make an appointment with a dentist. At least I have the dental insurance to do it. And getting a cleaning and some fillings won't cost me anything, so that's cool, I guess. I haven't been to the dentist in many, many years. I don't want to go to the dentist. Besides the usual dentist gripes, I have a good gag reflex. I guess most people lose theirs as adults, or at least it lessens significantly, but mine seems to have stuck around. Of course, I never go to the dentist, and I rarely go to the doctor, so it could be mostly gone now, for all I know. At least the dentist I picked is just down the street (it's one of the dentist offices I've hissed at while walking by).

Slightly redder than the lemon part would be.

Really? I guess I just don't find descriptions of teeth things disgusting. Do most people?

*snort**giggle* Good point. (I did find the tooth stuff gross, though, btw; the idea of grapefruit - GRAPEFRUIT?!? - meringue merely wrong.)

Grapefruit meringue

I dunno, it sounds less wrong than interestingly off the beaten track, to me. But then, I've considered making grapefruit marmalade, so I may be somewhat warped on the citrus issue.

I like the lemon part of lemon meringue pie, but I don't like meringue--especially the fluffy stuff on top of pies (fully cooked meringue is more tolerable, but not what I'd choose for enjoyable sweet eating.)

I don't often like meringue, but I have had some that I like. My ex used to make chocolate meringue cookies that were kinda' nice.

Would you prefer... Lime meringue? Orange meringue? Tangerine meringue? Clementine meringue? Pomelo meringue?

And where have you had grapefruit meringue pie?

I don't like fruit. And I'm not really a fan of meringue to begin with. (Too sweet, says the sweetaholic.)

Blasphemy!

I can't believe that you even used the word "dislike" in a sentence containing the words lemon meringue pie! I mean if you had said "I dislike it when I'm not eating lemon meringue pie" or something like that, I could see it but THIS usage. It's profane!
That's it; you're off my friends list...
Oh, you're not on my friends list. How clever of you. Well, I'll fix that and then later I'll be able to toss you off it when you utter such contemptuous statements about the most sacred of all pies. That'll learn ya.
