Met up with theora after work. Went to Greenhouse Cafe (or something like that. I forget the exact name, and I'm too lazy to look it up. It's in Harvard Square next to Cardullo's) for dinner. A decent place. I got fried chicken, which came with French fries. The chicken wasn't as good as homemade Betty Crocker oven-fried chicken, but it was decent. We overheard several times one waitress explaining to customers that it was only the third day for one of the other waitresses (our waitress, I believe). It resulted in us not getting silverware and napkins until we asked, and the water wasnt paid attention to, but it wasn't too bad. I'd definitely go there again.
We had some time after dinner, so we wandered to the Garage. Browsed Pandemonium for a bit. Then went to Newbury Comics, where theora got a used Megadeth CD and I got a used Pi DVD (too lazy to figure out how to put the Greek letter in here (speaking of Greek letters, our "number" for our order at Burdick's was a capital sigma)). That is one of the few movies that I feel i must own, enough so that I bought it when I really shouldn't be spending money. (Speaking of money, it looks like things should work out for me refinancing the mortgage by myself. It'll be a close squeeze, but it sounds like Washington Mutual wants to help make it work, so that's good.)
Then we went to buy our tickets, where we ran into cthulhia and doeshehaveanlj. Then we followed them to Burdick's. We stayed, they took their hot chocolate to go. When we got to the theater, the palce was packed. We found some seats, though. Secretary was a lot of fun, and fairly exciting at parts. I won't tell which particular scene got me particularly, um, excited. If you've seen the movie, though, feel free to guess.
Inane comment overheard after the movie: "I really wanted the hate James Spader's caracter, but I just couldn't." Why the hell would you want to hate his character? Seriously.
T and bus home. Wondered if bus from Harvard to Sullivan might have been faster. I'll have to check that out some other time. A couple of phone calls, and then it was off to bed, not even checking my email.
I caught the 7:08 bus this morning, which I had to run for, since it was 2 minutes early. I picked up a paper schedule for the 104/109 the other day, and I noticed that the time it gave for one of the buses to Malden was 7:26 at Glendale Square, not 7:29, like I had thought I'd read on the online schedule. *checks online schedule again* Yup, it says 7:29. So, that's why I didn't see the 104 yesterday morning: I had just missed it. So, I guess i go by the printed schedule from now on.
Nothing scheduled for tonight, so I am planning on putting away the dishes and generally cleaning up the kitchen and living room. I also want to take care of my freelance writing clas assignments. I got in a little before 8 today, so I'm taking off at 3, which should give me plenty of time to get that stuff done, plus maybe some time to do some programming. I've got a couple more things in my_ideas now, so there's plenty of stuff to work on.
