Job opening

The production editor who started 2 weeks after I did is quitting, so we're looking to hire someone else. Some good solid production experience would be nice (especially InDesign and stuff on the bookmaking end), but the biggest factor will be someone who works well in this kind of environment. It's a small company (8 employees in the office in Wellesley, 2 employees working remotely from Colorado), and everyone sort of chips in with everything. The reason the current person stated for leaving was that she wanted to be able to have a project that was just hers and work on that project. Here, you're working on a number of projects at once, and there's quite a bit of back and forth between editorial and production.

If you or anyone you know might be interested in something like this, feel free to contact me for some more info, and then I can put you in touch with the owners of the company.

I don't get any kind of kickback for this, other than having a quality person to work with (I share an office with the person in this position). BTW, in case you haven't picked it up from my journal (not that I've been posting much), I think this is a great company, and I love working here.
