No Leonids for me last night. I took a little nap right when I got home. Was really tired, and it was a good nap. Looked outside around 10 or so and saw that some clouds had moved in. I figured it wans't worth waking/staying up at/until 2:30 with the good chance that it would be cloudy. Plus it's fairly bright around me, plus it's not a peak year, etc. I ended up waking up around 3:30 to go to the bathroom, and I saw clouds through the window. So I'm pleased with my decision.

I got told that I should become a priest last night. I'm not sure if it was meant as a compliment or an insult, but I chose to take it as a compliment.

I got the cardboard Icehouse pyramids last night. Two of the sets were already assembled and painted. I assembled one last night, and I'll assemble the fourth one sometime before people come over on Friday. One side is white and one side is brown, so you can get different "colors" just folding them different ways. Pretty cool.

I actually made dinner last night, although I was too lazy to make a salad. The chicken was good, though, and I have leftovers with me for lunch. Lemon juice, lime juice, soy sauce, and Thai red curry paste.

Meeting at 10 today. We're supposed to review the first batch of intermediary statements by Friday, but the meeting today is to talk about "general issues" with the list of statements. I haven't looked at the list yet, so I won't have any comments to make. There are at least two distinct camps in these meetings, and it's usually pretty contentious, which isn't all that fun. We're trying to use this list for every math thing company-wide, but the different divisions just have such different uses for the list. I have a feeling we're going to end up with something that everyone can work with but noone is happy with. I wish I didn't have to stay on this board.

Did some dishes, made dinner (pasta shells with a sauce of mango, lime juice, ginger, ginger powder, Thai red curry paste, olive oil, sugar, and a little water. The sauce was a bit strong, and would have been vastly improved by a riper mango). Not sure what to do with the rest of my evening. I'm so not used to having time at home alone. I've been really busy for quite a while, going somewhere most evenings. Hmm. I guess I could watch Buffy, since I was given permission to watch Hush, and I'm not sure when I'd be able to watch it if I waited. Or I could take another bath. Or I could sit and read The Photographer's Handbook. I read a bit of that before and during my first bath of the evening. Yeah, maybe that's what I'll do. I'll feel slightly more productive than if I just watch Buffy. And maybe I'll do some writing, but I doubt it. Also, I'm trying to find another good speculative fiction webzine (other than Strange Horizons, since one story a week just isn't enough), but the ones I've found so far have sucked in comparison. I've made a few stabs at the ones linked from Strange Horizons' links page. I should probably make a more systematic attempt. Oh, and I want to find more good Web comics that are continuing stories, not just a daily or weekly comic. But I think for now I'll just go read the photography book until I get bored doing that.
