(no subject)

Roleplaying last night was exciting and spooky. Some new developments. It will be interesting to see where this all leads. I wonder how much we're screwing up what it is we're supposed to be doing.

Got home to two nice surprises last night. My first issue of Cook's Illustrated was in the mail. I started readig it on the bus this morning, and I'm really enjoying it. Also, the letter from Washington Mutual was in my email. It's printed out and sitting in the bag, waiting to be signed and notarized this evening. I called the lawyer to see about schedulig the closing. I was told to call my contact at Washington Mutual and see if there was anything else they needed me to do. So, I called and left a message. I imagine that the closing will happen early next week. Let's hope everything happens in time for me to not have to make a July payment.

I have to write a couple of questions for work, so I'm being really slow about it, since I really hate writing questions. After writing this entry, I'm just going to write them and get it over with. I've made my hatred of question-writing known around here, and people are actually paying attention to it. I was looking for something to do in a lull yesterday, and P said "I could have you do this thing. Oh, but you don't like writing questions. I'll give that to someone else." Really nice, actually.

New York

So, it looks like I'll be spending some part of the day a week from Saturday in New York City. I'll probably be there for most of the afternoon/early evening. In lieu of climbing fire escapes and breaking into apartments, I thought I might try to see some sights. Any recommendations? Bonus points for being near JFK (I really have no clue about New York geography). Double bonus points for pointing out somewhere I can park for free/cheap (I'll be driving).
