(no subject)

I went to bed at 8:30 last night, since I was going to get up at 5. I woke up a few times during the night, but I should have had enough sleep. I still didn't want to get out of bed this morning. So, we don't end up leaving until 6 or soemthing, and I'm thinking we wanted to be at the airport by 5:50, since the flight left at 6:50. Then, on the way, I find out that the question that was answered yesterday was not the one I thought I was asking. So, the plane in fact left at 7:55, so she wanted to be there by 6:50. I said I was getting up at 5, so she figured getting there by 6:30 would be good.

A couple more Jotto puzzles

So I made my program that finds these. I did a run of 100 games, and it came up with these 2. I'm in the middle of doing a run of 1000 games, so we'll see how many that turns up.

Oh, these are not in the order that they were guessed. I forgot that the way I was doing it wouldn't order the guesses, and when I realized it, I figured it was a nice side puzzle, figuring out a valid order if you're playing by the Evil Jotto rules (each guess has to possibly be able to be the word based on the information from the previous guesses). Note that you don't have to fiugre out the word to be able to order the guesses.

A trove of puzzles

So, my 1000 games finished running. In a little over an hour, it produced 28 puzzles. It looks like I can generate pretty much an unlimited number of puzzles in a fairly short amount of time. Now I have to decide what to do with them. If I were ambitious, I'd collect them in some sort of book or pamphlet and print up a bunch of copies and sell them. I doubt there would be much market for them, but it's a neat idea. Or, I could just publish some of the best ones on my web site. Hmm, you know, they don't take up much space on a page, so I could fit a lot of them onto a relatively few number of pages. So, it wouldn't take that much to get publish a couple hundred of them, so I could sell them for a couple of bucks or something. Is there anyone out there who would pay $2 for 200 Jotto puzzles?
