I just say an ad for a full-time copyeditor position. And it looks like I'm actually qualified for it, although they say legal citation experience is helpful, which I don't have. However, I already have a full-time job through the end of July, so it's not an option. But even if I didn't have a full-time job, the salary range is 25-40% less than what I'm making now, which, once hrafn and I split households, wouldn't be enough for me to live on, even if I were to get a roommate.
I wonder if the only full-time jobs that I'm going to be able to get that will pay enough money will be in textbook publishing. Blah. I'd like to get out of textbook publishing, and i'd really like to go completely freelance. However, I just don't think I can afford the uncertainty of frelancing right now. Blah. Oh well, I'll see what I can do on the side while I still have my job. Let's see, according to my resolutions, I need to write one short story, two articles, and two poems for submission this year. I'd better get started on that short story, since that will probably take me the whole year.
