I read the Roald Dahl story Taste last night to someone who hadn't been read to since childhood. I enjoy reading aloud, although I have to remember to grab water, since my throat starts drying out after a while. It was a good story, too. I really liked the writing style, although I felt the ending was a bit abrupt. Still, a good story, with some especially good imagery of lips and tongues. I must have read it adequately, since that imagery stayed with my audience.
Someone on my friends list has mentioned trying to get a story reading night together. If that happnes, or if I end up doing one myself, I think I'd like to read this story, or maybe one of Dahl's other stories. In any case, I'm interested in reading the rest of the stories in this book.
