Billy Elliot
Watched Billy Elliot last night. I enjoyed it very much. That's not saying much, coming from me, since I like most movies I see, but I think this one was particularly good.

One bit that I was thinking about this morning, not really having anything to do with the movie, was the British usage of the word fancy. It seems to mean "to like in that way". As in, "Do you fancy me?" It's a nice, concise way to express something that American English does not express very well.

True, but...

don't they also generally "fancy a bit/spot of tea"? Hard to imagine liking tea "in that way" although, in all fairness, I'm also not British.
