Interesting - I'm sure it was simply called "1602" when published in individual issues, over here.

My guess for the title difference is that people buying the individual issues know about comics and don't need to be told that this is a Marvel thing, whereas the graphic novel is likely sold in a lot more places, and so the people browsing the shelves might have no idea what 1602 means. Or something like that.
